Skin complaints and irritations are constantly increasing for various reasons.

Neurodermatitis, from which 6 to 7 million people suffer in Germany alone according to official figures, in particular, is a multifactorial complaint, it is obviously hereditary and, hence, classified as “incurable”. This atopic eczema – which is actually the more appropriate term for neurodermatitis – has to be examined diagnostically with regard to the nutritional metabolism, (intestine-associated) immune activity, psychosomatics and hormonal factors and it has to be treated accordingly. 

Moreover, a good skin-care product should be selected dispensing with ointments and creams containing active agents such as cortisone or even cytostatics which entail unwanted side effects.

Since the year 2000 we have worked on an underwear product range – the so-called silver textiles – which are designed to help patients recover their well-being. 

Silver-Skin^® is the result of state-of-the-art fibre technology and our long-standing experience in the underwear segment.

Studies which have been carried out have shown that the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium, which penetrates deep into the scratched skin, is eliminated to an extremely high degree by silver textiles and that inflammations and infections disappear – frequently even without the use of antibiotic agents. 

The wearing properties of Silver-Skin^® textiles, which are excellent overall, ensure an improved quality of life and well-being. Moreover, the tangible effect of Silver-Skin^® textiles is observed after only a few days.

The basis – pure cotton and pure silver

Silver-Skin^® is made of 75% organic cotton (as per Oeco-tex standard 100) and 25% silver fibres (silver-coated polyamide core), which fully cover the skin.

In medicine, pure silver has been an effective cure the effect of which constitutes a particularly gentle alternative to the conventional pharmaceutical agents for centuries.

The effectiveness of the Silver-Skin^® products has been tested scientifically and assessed as being “very good“ from the perspective of dermatology (Dermatest 2008).
